A long-time, multigenerational grocer in a small town wanted to make a strong impact on the community.

Construction of a 37,000 square foot addition ot the existing store turned a small-town grocery store into a full-service 57,000 square foot supermarket and hardware store.

The existing grocery store remained operational while the addition was built.  Once completed, the grocery store moved into the addition and the existing building was renovated to cecome a Do It Best hardware store.  All departments were expanded and the deli now offers restaurant-style seating and a salad bar.  The new grocery store features high ceilings to create a bright, open look and wood trip for a classic feel.  The client toned down the modernness with old photos of family and the community.
