The project, locally funded, included the layout and design of new playground equipment within an existing 9 acre undeveloped City park. One thousand feet of sidewalk was added along Glen Park Drive to improve access from the neighboring community to the new park. Accessible paved trails wound from the sidewalk down into the wooded park where new playground equipment was installed. The new playground equipment was designed as accessibly in such a manor to appease adjacent neighbors of the park that were originally against developing the natural setting. The new park provides a welcoming place for neighbors, residents and guests to relax and enjoy nature.

| Paradigm Design provided surveying, vertical and horizontal alignment of the sidewalk and general layout and design services. Paradigm attended public meetings to gather input from residents so to address public concern of developing a natural setting. Design challenges included grading of access path to playground from the street to assure ADA requirements were met. Additional challenges included incorporating the new park into the natural settings while maintaining good public relations with adjacent neighbors. |

Paradigm Design provided the City and its staff with limited Construction Engineering Services which included staking and consultation on an as needed basis.
